Mason's Birthday, Grandpa, and the Nienstadts

We had a awesome weekend! On Thursday, Mason turned 13, we had Tea and Talk at our house, Grandpa came, and we had dinner at Taste of Texas. For those of you who have never been to Taste of Texas, it is the best steak restaurant in the Milky Way Galaxy. (They have the best lemon pepper and garlic stuff that they put on the stakes. Yum! Yum! Not to mention the free popcorn, chips and salsa, and cokes that you can have while waiting for your table. The lady who owns the place is really nice and does field trips for school groups that we've been on. She has a lot of cool Texas history artifacts.) Then we went home and Mason opened his family presents. His special present was a guitar. He was really excited about that! The next day was Mason's birthday, and he had some friends over for Nerf wars, games, the fire pit and a sleepover. On Saturday, Grandpa took me shopping at Academy and the Nienstadts came over. As we started to go frog- hunting, it started to rain really hard, but we still found 2 frogs. We had a great time!

Here are some pics.
