Mom and I went to San Antonio from Monday to Wednesday. We went to Sea World on Monday to see the shows. Mom can't do roller coasters because of her neck, so went rode 2 very exciting, thrilling, breathtaking, rousing, stimulating, exhilarating roller coasters. The monkey ride and Shamu's Express. Here are the pictures.

The most embarrassing part, besides that we were the only ones above 7 (guessing) on the roller coaster was that the same man was operating both rides.

When we ate lunch, Mom put her mouthpiece in a napkin like she always does, but when we were headed for one of the little kiddy rides, Mom realized that she had thrown it away with the trash. After we rode Shamu's Express, we headed back to the restaurant to look for it. We got some gloves and started to look through the trash can which was full of a lot of people's trash. The most disgusting part was when I got ketchup on my wrist. Mom found it wrapped in a napkin at the bottom of the bag.
We were a little late for the Viva show, so we had to stand in the back.
After we saw the shows, we went to the hotel to check in. We swam in the Hotel pool for a while.

Mom gave me this "A Very Special Daughter" charm to remember our trip by.

On Tuesday, we went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. We didn't take many pictures so we just have pictures of the end of the night. We did one roller coaster that was really fun, but Mom's neck hurt afterward. The water park was really fun, and had a lot of different slides. We were at the park 11 1/2 hours, open to close. At the end of the night, Fiesta puts on a really cool laser light show on the side of a canyon. Before the show started, we saw a guy working on top of the canyon.
We got a very big cone from Ben and Jerry's.

We had a coupon for buy one day get one day free at Sea World, so on Wednesday we wen€t back to the park to do the water park. We went on a ride that we never have before. It is called Journey to Atlantis. Your boat goes up to the top of the tracks and you spin around twice (slowly). Then, you go backwards on two small drops and back up to another section of track. It spins you again, then you drop down the hill. (I didn't get as wet as I thought I would. We had a ride like that at Astro World. Every one standing on the bridge gets soaked.) It was really fun.
On Tuesday, we ate breakfast at IHOP. A couple walked in with matching hair. (It was short, bleached, and stood straight up.) When we left, Mom realized that it was Chad, a guy that does a funny pre-show in the Viva show in Sea World. We have seen him for 9 years there. We talked for a little and told him that we we would sit near on of the places he does his show. Apparently he met his wife there. She plays the part of some bird lady he likes. Since we were in our bathing suits, we could get wet, so we sat near one of his stations. We saw his wife videotaping his pre-show. When the crowd couldn't see his mouth he said "You guys are the ones from IHOP, aren't you?" We got soaked. We went to the Shamu show and sat on the 2nd row so we could get splashed once and then go do other stuff in the park. We had a great time!

How cool, that you saw Chad at IHOP and he remembered!! Julie
of course your mom talked to chad at IHOP, would we expect any different? it sounds like a special time with your mom- she's pretty cool, even if she does talk to "show people" out in public!
